If the device you are loading replaces a device of a different type (for instance, replacing a High

End device with a DMX device), the output patch is deleted.

Keypresses Results/Comments

1. Go to the Mix output menu.

2. Press F3 Device Files

The Device Files window opens. Only Device

Files are displayed. The Device List window is

active (displayed on a red background). The

default drive is C, change drives if necessary.

3. Press [UP2] or [DOWN2] to

select a device from the

Device List.

The device you load will replace the selected

device.

4. Press F1 Load Dev Files

5. Press [WINDOW]

The Device Files window is now active

(displayed on a red background).

6. Press [UP2] or [DOWN2] to

select a file from the Device

Files.

7. Press F1 Load

The selected device file is loaded to the

Device List, replacing the device selected in

the Device List. The Device List is active

4.2 Recording a device file

Only DMX devices can be recorded.

Do not use the character # in the device name. This character is reserved.

2. Press F3 Device Files The Device Files window opens. The Device

List window is active (displayed on a red

background). The default drive is C, change

drives if necessary.

3. Press [UP2] or [DOWN2] to

select a device from the

Device List.

The selected device will be recorded.

4. Press F2 Record Dev File

5. Press F1 Record

The device definition is copied from the

Device List to the Device Files directory or a

floppy diskette.

If the device already appears in the Device Files Are You Sure? and the message Device File

Exists are displayed.

Press F1 Record to continue or F6 Restart to cancel.
