3. Crossfaders
3.1 Lock crossfader assignments
Locking the assignments on the A/B and C/D crossfaders permits freeing the assignments only
if [FREE] is pressed first.
3.2 Switch in Systems Parameters for Go key
The Go for Multifades toggle in the Systems Parameters menu determines the functionality of
the crossfader [GO] key.
When toggled to Yes [GO] behaves like [GO TO], initiating a multifade when pressed in the
middle of fade. Note that it does not exit loops.
When toggled to No [GO] does not initiate multifades. [GO TO] must be used for multifades.
4. Device Files
Device Files is an option in the Mix Output menu. Device Files are moving light definitions.
Files can loaded from a floppy diskette or the local hard Drive - C:\Dev - to the Device List.
Device files can be recorded to a floppy diskette or to the local hard Drive - C:\Dev - from the
Device List.
Device Files contain the device definition, leader information, and wheel bank assignments.
Each file contains 1 device only. The file name can be up to 10 characters long. The file name
extension begins with #. When a device is selected the full device definition is displayed in the
Definition window.
ØØNote
The full device definition is only displayed when reading from drive C. It is not displayed when
reading from drive A.
The Device Files are sorted alphabetically.
[UP2] and [DOWN2] are used to select devices in the Device File or the Device List.
[UP1] and [DOWN1] are used to page the Device File.
[WINDOW] is used to toggle the active window between Device Files and the Device List. This
key is only available after you have an operation.
4.1 Loading a Device File to the Device List
Replacing a device that is assigned to spot numbers (for instance, default assignments) by
loading a device file to the Device List does not clear the output patch. If there are DMX output
collisions the DMX out addresses are displayed in red.
